Wednesday morning links 10/9

Getting ever so closer to the start of the season. Remember, October 25th will be your first chance to see the Bulldogs at a free open scrimmage inside Hinkle Fieldhouse.

So, big news the last couple of days has been the commitment of Kelan Martin to the program. Here is the story about Martin where we break down his game and how it fits into the Bulldogs and the Butler Way as best as we can without him having played a game at the college level.

Bark of Hinkle writer Tyler Hicks also went one on one with Butler target Zach Johnson.

Here is also a link to an update on Trevon Bluiett’s recruitment from 247Sports. It lists Indiana as one of the schools who talked to him but several sources have reported that Indiana is no longer involved. This still leads me to believe that it is down to Butler and Xavier with Purdue having an outside chance, but still other schools are after him. A comprehensive update follows from that link.

Brad Stevens also made his NBA coaching debut last night in a pre-season loss to the Raptors. Still, it was nice to see him on the Celtics’ bench. Here is a breakdown of Brad Stevens’ performance in his first night of NBA coaching.

Finally, the fellas on the Fansided Network’s Big East site did a chart breakdown of Butler the other day. Check it out here.
