With four star forward Kelan Martin visiting this weekend and a heavy amount of mutual interest between him and the program, rumors were swirling everywhere that a commitment may be coming soon. Today, those rumors were validated as the Louisville native announced he will indeed be a Bulldog next season.
I’m going to be a Butler Bulldog……. #blessed

Martin joins Lake Central’s Tyler Wideman as members of the 2014 class so far and brings a lot of talent to the program. Martin is rated 97 in ESPNU’s Top 150, 143 in Rivals and 108 on 247Sports. He also had offers from schools such as Texas Tech, Xavier and St. Louis among others.
Moving forward, this could perhaps just be getting the ball rolling. Things moved a bit slow for some fans taste, but you can’t argue with Brandon Miller coming in and already bringing in two talented forwards with a shot at perhaps the most coveted in Trevon Bluiett.
It’s a great day to be a Bulldog!

There is definitely momentum right now for the Bulldogs on the recruiting trail as they join the rest of the Big East lately in picking up a four-star prospect for the 2014 class. Now, it’s time to keep building on the momentum and create a class that can compete for a Big East championship in the next couple of seasons.
This is definitely a step forward, and to quote Brandon Miller, a “great day to be a Bulldog.”
