Wednesday daily links 10/2

Just another day on the way to another season. First exhibition game is in 27 days. Here are your daily links:

Joe Tansey of Bleacher Report put together his rankings of how each of  the Big East’s basketball arenas compare to each other. To no surprise, Butler is very high on this list with Hinkle Fieldhouse. It’s nice to see some of the places Butler will play this season as they will make a trip to each of this at some point in the 2013-14 campaign.

In Big East recruiting news, three-center center Sean O’Mara committed to Xavier today as the third man in the 2014 class. The Big East has been on fire lately with the 2014 class and currently holds some of the top classes in the country with the ones put together by Providence, Seton Hall and Georgetown. Not to mention the talented classes that will be freshmen this season in the new conference.

Finally, a new picture surfaced today of South Alabama’s basketball roster for this season with a couple of familiar faces now on the Jaguars coaching staff. Matthew Graves has taken over the head coaching position (our summer interview with him can be found here) and Darnell Archey followed him there from Butler as well. Ronald Nored was also supposed to be here, but decided to join the Boston Celtics organization as a player development assistant. Here is the picture:
