Andrew Smith signs pro contract

Butler’s center of four seasons has found a new home as part of a professional basketball team. Agreeing to sign on to the BC Neptunas in Lithuania, Andrew Smith and Rotnei Clarke will now both be playing professionally overseas this season.

While I have yet to see any numbers for the contract, Smith has joined onto a team that has been pretty successful in the past and is known for its basketball tradition. With his ability to rebound and knock down a jumper from the outside at his height, his skills should transition pretty well into the European game.

Just graduating college, moving into a foreign country with a different native language should be though, but there’s no doubt that Smith has the ability to, at the very least, hold his own on the floor.
