Butler radio announcer Brandon Gaudin headed to Georgia Tech

As first reported by Zak Keefer of the Indystar, it appears that Butler will be looking for a new play-by-play announcer on the radio this season as Brandon Gaudin will be heading to do that job at Georgia Tech this season.

A fan favorite, Gaudin called games through Butler’s second run to the Final Four and National Championship game and is leaving the program with several calls that will be remembered forever. Whether it was the win against Indiana a season ago or the buzzer beater over Gonzaga, Gaudin’s calls became a staple in the program since he joined in 2010.

So, in a summer where Butler has already replaced its head coach, the program is now looking for a new voice on the radio. Don’t put it past them to find another great announcer, though, to continue to chronicle some great moments in Butler basketball.
