Recruiting News & Notes: Three visits and an offer

Thursday marked Butler’s last practice in Indianapolis before the team departs on its trip to Australia in which it will be competing with several teams in the foreign country. This practice, though, brought forth a big recruiting day as well and can go along way moving forward.

Initially, it looked as if just two prospects would be visiting as 2015 forward Bronson Kessinger and guard Aaron Jordan were planning on taking in the practice, but center Nate Fowler decided to join them as well.

One of the first players to receive an offer in the class of 2015, Nate Fowler fits a need on the roster with his 6-9, 220 pound frame. It is clear that Butler is making him a priority still, even though Brad Stevens was the one who initially offered him a scholarship.

As for Kessinger, his list of offers is still pretty small, boasting the likes of IUPUI, IPFW, Indiana State and Evansville. He has had a very good summer, though, and continues to draw interest from the Butler coaching staff.

The prospect who made the biggest splash yesterday by receiving an offer from Coach Miller, Aaron Jordan, already has offers from Wisconsin, Illinois and Creighton.

247 Sports puts Butler right up there in the running to have an impact on this 3-star’s recruitment and, due to the fact that he has already visited the campus twice, it seems Jordan has a lot of interest in the program.
