Butler Bulldogs: 2015 Summer Recruiting Beings

Beginning on June 15, Brad Stevens and coaches around the country were able to contact 2015 recruits at any point in which they desired. While no offers were handed out on this day from the Butler coaching staff, several recruits talked to a number of Bulldog coaches.

Here is a breakdown of some of the recruits who have been mentioned on Butler’s radar.

Derrik Smits

Already holding an offer from the Butler program, it was no surprise that Butler was one of the first schools to contact the Indiana center at the strike of midnight on June 15. The list of schools that contacted the big man, however, was a huge one.

Schools such as Indiana, Michigan State and Notre Dame headlined a list of schools that showed interest in this Zionsville kid with a lot of potential.

Evan Boudreaux

Another player that boasts a 6-8 frame, Boudreaux has been linked with interest to Butlerfor  a long time and was someone expected to get a text from the coaching staff when June 15 rolled around. Butler’s coaching staff wasn’t the only one to get a hold of him, however, as he also had a very busy phone, hearing from a long list of schools such as Michigan, Michigan State and Georgetown.

Nate Fowler

Fowler, another center on Butler’s radar, also already holds in offer from the Bulldogs so it is again no surprise that they were talking with him on the first day possible. The Cincinnatti prospect also holds offers from Dayton, Miami and West Virginia.

Tim Delaney

A 6-9 prospect from New Jersey, Delaney certainly fits a need for this 2015 class. Already holding several high-major offers including Oregon State, Rutgers and Villanova, his recruitment has a head of steam and is picking up a lot of interest. He has also already taken a couple of visits including one to Indiana this past week.

Andrew Fleming

Fleming, a wing from Tennessee, has been in contact with Brad Stevens and Co. a couple oftimes  and again on Saturday. Other schools that contacted Fleming were Tennessee, Notre Dame and Nebraska.

Aaron Jordan

Another player with a big day on Saturday, the talented guard from Illinois already hoists several offers headlined by Creighton and Wisconsin. He has taken several visits to Illinois State recently, however, and it appears there is a lot of interest there. He visited Butler in early June as well.

Chandler White

A top Indiana wing in the class of 2015, Chandler White heard from Butler on Saturday as well. He already holds two offers: Boston College and Miami of Ohio. His performance this spring  on an Indiana Elite team that has been one of the best in the country in its age group, led to contacts from Michigan and Michigan State on Saturday.

Jalen Adams

A four-star point guard from the east coast, Jalen Adams is the highest rated player that has  surfaced from Butler’s list of contacts this weekend. Of course, with his talent, his list of schools that came calling were huge and filled with high-majors such as Syracuse, NC State, Minnesota and UCONN.

Luke Kennard

A three-star that has been on Butler’s radar from a long time, Kennard also received an early text from the Bulldogs. Kennard already holds offers from Ohio State, West Virginia and Xavier, but it looks like Butler can be a strong player in this recruitment.
