On Friday, the Indiana Pacers invited several players in for workouts as they begin to get an idea of which direction they would like to go when the NBA Draft rolls around later this month. On this day, one of those players was Andrew Smith.
Overall, Smith isn’t drawing too much NBA interest and figures to be more of a European League basketball player in his future, but that doesn’t mean he will not get a chance to compete for the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Summer League in July.
The Pacers have a tendency to sign college standouts from the state of Indiana and Andrew Smith from Butler certainly falls into that category. It will be interesting to see the type of interest he will draw moving forward.
And, on Monday, Rotnei Clarke will participate in his second NBA workout when he will travel to downtown Indianapolis and workout for the Indiana Pacers as well.
