On Wednesday, Butler extended another offer to a 2014 prospect in a guard from Georgia, Devin Mitchell. More of a combo guard that scores at high volumes, Mitchell is rated as a three-star prospect by both Rivals’ recruiting service and ESPN.
Mitchell stands at 6-4 and has proven to be very prolific scorer. He averaged just over 20 points this season, including a 41 point out-poor performance for his high school team.
This spring, he also competed in the Nike EYBL regular season as a part of the Georgia Stars. Playing against some of the best competition in the country for his class, Mitchell was sixth in the league in three-pointers made and averaged 9.8 points in only 15 minutes per game. He was also able to add 2.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game over that span.
With its offer on Wednesday, Butler added itself to a long list of scholarship offers that Mitchell currently owns. Some of those include high majors such as Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Marquette and Kansas State. At this point, Butler has no commitments for the 2014 recruiting class but do have several offers out that you can see here.
